Physical Education Goals

According to the Maine Learning Results, the following goals express what the students should know and be able to do as a result of participating in a quality physical education program.

A.  PHYSICAL FITNESS
Students will acquire the knowledge needed to be physically fit and take part in healthful physical activity on a regular basis.

B.  MOTOR SKILLS
Students will develop motor skills and appy these to enhance their movement and physical performance.

C.  PERSONAL AND SOCIAL INTERACTIONS
Students will demonstrate responsible personal and social behaviors in physical activity settings.
